Travel Grants Application Process 

ISS Foundation - Travel Scholarships

The ISS Foundation is pleased to continue its commitment to supporting surgeons and surgical trainees worldwide through its Travel Scholarship Program.

Following the successful completion of International Surgical Week 2026 ISW 2026, in Mexico City, preparations are already underway for the next Surgical Week, which will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2028.

The ISS Foundation plans to offer a new round of Travel Scholarships to support eligible participants wishing to attend ISW2028. Details regarding eligibility criteria, application requirements, deadlines, and available funding will be published on this page as soon as the application process opens.

We encourage interested applicants to visit this website regularly for updates and announcements.

THe ISS Foundation remains dedicated to fostering international collaboration, education, and professional development by enabling surgeons and trainees from diverse backgrounds to paricipate in the global surgical community.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of ISS Foundation Travel Scholars to Cape Town in 2028.
